The Polynesian Football Hall of Fame College Football Player of the Year Award is presented annually to the most outstanding college football player of Polynesian ancestry that epitomizes great ability and integrity. The award has become one of the most prestigious in all of College Football, and is a testament to the tremendous impact Polynesian student-athletes are having in college football today.
Former University of Oregon QB Marcus Mariota was selected as the inaugural recipient of the Award in 2014.The winner of the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award is recognized during the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Weekend. Each of the honorees will forever be recognized and honored with a display inside the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame Gallery at the Polynesian Cultural Center.
