Senior showcase
Presented by:
Friends of Hawai'i Charities

Sunday, January 20, 2019 (St. Louis School)

The Polynesian Football Hall of Fame will organize the Polynesian Bowl Senior Showcase to increase educational opportunities for Hawai`i high school seniors. The Showcase will take place on Oahu during the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Weekend to maximize exposure for the players.

Travel, time zones and other logistical challenges make it difficult for Hawai’i players to realize their dream of playing college football as a vehicle to pursue their education. Our goal is to increase the number of scholarships offered and to help level the playing field. A minimum of 20 NCAA Division 2 & 3, NAIA and Junior College coaches (schools) will are expected to attend. Coaches will be vetted with emphasis on their willingness and ability to provide scholarships and financial aid to Hawai’i seniors. Travel stipends and complimentary tickets to the Polynesian Bowl will be provided to ensure increased participation. All State of Hawai`i high schools that play football will have an open invitation to send their seniors (who are not NCAA Division I verbal commits) to attend. Polynesian Bowl coaches (many of whom are former NFL and college players) will lead the Showcase.

Players will participate in 40/20/10-yard dashes as well as other combine events and then divided into their position groups for specific drills. Time will also be allotted for college coaches for individual workouts.
